2022-2023 ACADEMIC YEAR FALL TERM CALL FOR REQUIREMENTS OF APPLICATIONS AND ACCEPTANCE OF INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS


GENERAL TERMS

1.       Applications will be received as of 12 December 2022 via Online Application System by loading the required information and documents. The deadline for receipt of applications will be 30 December 2022 at 16:30. During online application, candidates must upload their completed application documents in a legible and ordered manner to the system. Applications sent by mail will not be accepted.

3.       Candidates will be placed according to their Entrance Success Score (ESS) and student quota.

4.       Candidates are required to submit an original certificate of Turkish proficiency of at least B2 level according to TOMER courses dispensed by universities in Turkey or the relevant exams of Yunus Emre Institutes. This certificate is compulsory to apply to programs that offer education in Turkish language or partially in English. Those who do not to submit a language certificate shall be granted a maximum of one year to obtain their certificate. Candidates graduated from a (at least) four-year, and 100% Turkish undergraduate program in Turkey do not need to submit a Turkish language test result.

5.       Candidates applying for PhD programmes must submit a foreign language - which can be English, German, French, Arabic, Italian, Spanish, Russian, Chinese, Japanese, and Persian- score at least 55 from YDS, YÖKDİL or Foreign Language Exams of which equivalency are accepted by ÖSYM.

6.       Candidates who will apply to the master's program can take BTU-YDS, which is considered equivalent to the YDS/YÖKDİL exam.

7.       In case of providing any incorrect information in the application, it will be considered invalid.

8.       Students who apply for the fall semester of the 2022-2023 academic year and are entitled to final registration pay for one time only Guidance, Counseling and Orientation Fee of 1500 TL. This fee is non-refundable. The payment receipt is delivered to our institute along with the required documents during final registration. Candidates who do not pay the fee will not be registered.

9.       For the 2022-2023 Academic year, full term (Fall + Spring) tuition is 6.000,00 TL (Fall Term: 3.000,00 TL, Spring Term: 3.000,00 TL). The contributions to be received as student contribution to the YÖK Current Service Costs and the updates to be made in the tuition fees will be reflected.

10.    For applicants who have graduated from a (at least) four-year, and 100% English undergraduate program in Turkey or in a foreign country, it is not compulsory to submit foreign language (English) score for application to master’s programs. In this case, foreign language score of candidates who do not submit a foreign language test result is accepted as 55.

11.    The winners will be determined during the evaluation in a way that does not exceed 20% of the relevant program quota of the candidates from the same country who are accepted to the program for all placements according to the score and order of preference. If the quota is not filled, placement will be made regardless of this rule.

12.    War veteran students, first degree martyrs and candidates who have relatives of war veterans for the citizens of Azerbaijan,, the quota for special student status is limited to "2" students for each program for Master's Programs with Thesis.

a) Among the student candidates with special conditions, war veterans must certify that they are war veterans, and those who are relatives of war veterans and martyrs are first degree veterans and relatives of martyrs during the application.

b) In case of more than one application, the relevant program evaluation criteria of foreign students are taken into account in the evaluation of their applications.

13.    Candidates can apply for only one programme.


REQUIRED DOCUMENTS

1.      Printout of Online Application Form: Document printed from the online application system should be signed by the candidate.

2.      Certificates of Graduation: Turkish translations of Certificate of Bachelor’s Degree taken from a university approved by the Council of Higher Education (YÖK). Translation approved by notary public or Turkish institutions represented in foreign countries like Turkish Embassy/Consulate/Office of Educational Attaché etc. is required.

3.      Photos: Two (2) passport-sized photographs.

4.      Copy of valid passport: The original is required during registration.

5.      Transcript: Turkish translation of Academic transcripts of Bachelor’s degree. Turkish translation approved by notary public or Turkish institutions represented in foreign countries like Turkish Embassy/Consulate/Office of Educational Attaché etc. is required.

6.      Foreign Language (English) Test Results: The validity period of YDS/e-YDS/YÖKDİL is 5 (five) years from announcement date. The validity periods of BTU-YDS and other foreign language tests approved by YÖK are 2 (two) years.

7.      Guidance, Counseling and Orientation Fee Receipt: For one time only fee of 1500 TL, which is required to be paid by the students who are eligible for final registration.

8.      Residential permit document: If available.

9.      Applications can be done online (Institute of Graduate Studies). Final registration will be face to face. Students who will apply online must submit the originals of their original documents to the Graduate School during registration.
