International graduate students will be admitted to the Graduate Education Institute in the spring semester of the 2024-2025 academic year. Applications will be made through the Online Application System between 09:00 on December 30, 2024, and 17:00 on January 22, 2025.

GENERAL INFORMATION
1. Applications will begin at 09:00 on December 30, 2024, and end at 17:00 on January 22, 2025, via the ONLINE APPLICATION SYSTEM. Applications via mail or postal services will not be accepted.
2. During the online application, candidates must upload all required documents in a complete and legible manner. Applications should be made according to the Online Application Codes found at the end of this page through the automation system.
3. Candidates are placed within the quota based on their Entry Success Score (GBP).
4. For the graduate programs taught in Turkish, candidates must submit a document showing that they have at least a C1 level of proficiency in Turkish. Candidates without this document or those who do not succeed in the Turkish language exam must attend a maximum one-year Turkish language course offered by Bursa Technical University’s Turkish Teaching Application and Research Center (BURSATÖMER) or the Yunus Emre Institute. Candidates must pass the Turkish exam with a minimum C1 level. Those who have graduated from a four-year program taught entirely in Turkish do not need to submit a Turkish language proficiency certificate.
5. For the doctoral programs, candidates are to obtain at least 55 points in one of the following languages: English, German, French, Arabic, Italian, Spanish, Russian, Chinese, Japanese, or Persian, through YDS, e-YDS, YÖKDİL, or e-YÖKDİL. Alternatively, a score equivalent to 55 points in another language exam accepted by the ÖSYM Board is to be presented. Candidates who do not meet the requirements by the time of the qualifying exam will be dismissed from the university. If candidates do not provide a language exam result during application, their language score will be considered as zero.
6. Candidates applying to the Master’s programs can take the BTÜ-YDS exam, which is equivalent to YDS/YÖKDİL
7. Applications will be invalid if candidates provide misinformation in their application.
8. Students who gain the right to register for the Spring Semester of the 2024-2025 Academic Year must pay a non-refundable Guidance, Counseling, and Orientation Fee, which should be deposited in the account provided below.
9. The annual tuition fee for the 2024-2025 Academic Year will be announced before each semester’s course registration, and students will be charged through the student information system. Any updates to the contribution fees and tuition fees will be reflected based on the Council of Higher Education’s (YÖK) current service costs
10. Candidates who have graduated from a four-year undergraduate program where the language of instruction was 100% English, either in Turkey or abroad, are not required to provide a language proficiency certificate. In such cases, the candidate's language score will be considered 55 for calculation purposes.
11. A quota for admission may be applied to enhance cultural and social interaction within the scope of internationalization.
12. For Azerbaijani citizens who are veterans, first-degree relatives of martyrs, or disabled, the special student quota is limited to two (2) students per program in Master’s with Thesis programs. (a) Candidates must document their veteran status or first-degree relative status as relatives of martyrs and veterans during the application process. (b) In case of multiple applications, the relevant program’s evaluation criteria for foreign students will be considered during assessment.
13. Candidates can apply to only one program.
DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FROM CANDIDATES
1. Graduation Certificate: A notarized, consular, or department-approved Turkish translation of the undergraduate diploma from a university recognized by YÖK.
2. Passport Copy: The original will be shown during registration.
3. Transcript: Notarized, consular, or department-approved Turkish translation of undergraduate transcripts.
4. Foreign Language (English) Proficiency Certificate: YDS/e-YDS/YÖKDİL results are valid for five (5) years from the announcement date. Other foreign language exams and BTÜ-YDS are valid for two (2) years.
5. Residence Permit: If applicable.
6. Statement of Purpose: A document explaining your work and goals in the field you are applying to.,

REGISTRATION
Guidance, Counseling, and Orientation Fee Receipt: Candidates who have been granted the right to register must upload the payment receipt of the non-refundable fee to the institute registration form.

Additionally, candidates must pay for BURSATÖMER’s language course fee or Turkish Language Proficiency Exam (BTU TDYS) fee, if applicable, to the account below. The payment receipt must be submitted to the institute along with the other documents during final registration. Applications without the payment receipt will not be processed.
Note: For students residing in Turkey who wish to make the payment in Turkish Lira, the exchange rate of the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey on the day of the payment will be used.
